Who Said There's No Man On the Moon?
A biography of Jules Verne

by Robert Quakenbush, illustrated by the author
A book report by Tim E., Grade 5, Cyberstories Editor

Jules Verne was the oldest of five children. Jules and his brother Paul were very close throughout their lives. His father was a lawyer and his mother came from a family of shipbuilders and sea captains. Jules Verne often dreamed about traveling to exotic lands.

Jules Verne was a famous writer and wrote many adventure novels, such as Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Some of the things Jules Verne wrote about in his books actually were invented later (like the submarine). I like Jules Verne's books because they make me feel like I'm in the adventure.

I liked Who Said There's No Man On the Moon because of its funny cartoon illustrations. I also like it because it had many interesting twists.
