There once was a rabbit who didn’t like
being young. There were too many things to do and rules, so he
ran away. This rabbit was nice, little, and friendly. Since he
was so little, he squeezed right out the front gate. It was
winter and it was freezing out. The bunny wished he could be back
home in his nice cozy bed, but he was deep into the forest and
couldn’t find his way home. Then a little girl found him and
took him home. She named him Fluffy. 
The rabbit felt happy and safe in his new home. Fluffy’s house was big. He had a little cage that he would stay in when his friend went to school. His friend’s name was Haley. When Haley got home from school, she would play with him for at least two hours. The bunny ate alfalfa, kibbles, and his healthy food was lettuce and carrots. The girl, you see, is very nice. It was like having a princess as an owner. She even gave him covers at night.
Haley was going on vacation to California and she couldn’t bring Fluffy, so she left without him. Everything felt and seemed different. The rabbit thought, " No one is here to comb my fur. No one’s here to give me a carrot. No one’s here to tuck me in at night." It was so different without Haley. Then he heard a knock. The door opened and there was Haley. Fluffy was so happy that he ran up to her and jumped into her arms.
Fluffy was happy. Tomorrow was Haley’s birthday and it was time for bed. Haley took Fluffy inside and put him in his cage under the covers. Haley fell asleep in seconds. Fluffy heard a bump, bink, bang. Fluffy backed under the covers. He was really scared. He asked, "Who’s there?" No answer came. Then again, bump, bink, bang. Fluffy was so scared he almost shivered all his fur off. He asked again, "Who is it?" There was no answer and then the bunny knew it was morning and that sound was the birthday monster. Haley was turning nine.
The birthday monster is a monster who comes the night before your birthday, leaves you extra toys. They call him the birthday monster because he makes scary sounds. "Happy Birthday, Haley!", said all the birthday guests. Fluffy felt so left out. Haley didn’t take him out, but then Fluffy heard Haley talking about him. And he was let out. Another girl brought her rabbit, Snowball. Right from the start, Fluffy and Snowball loved each other so much.
Fluffy and Snowball got married
and they had four babies. Fluffy was brown and Snowball was
white, so they had two white and two brown babies. They were
cute. Since Haley and her friend Tyler had so many rabbits, they
got leashes and collars and took them walking every day.
