For this drawing you will need the following supplies:  a blank sheet of paper, a ruler, and a sharp pencil and a good eraser. Click on each step to see what it should look like.  Remember to click on back to return.

Step 1.  Draw a horizon line (where land and sky appear to meet), add a vanishing point.

Step 2.  Draw a pillar, a rectangle with tow lines that connect the rectangle to the vanishing point.
 
Step 3.  Add a vertical line for back side of pillar, erase dotted lines.

Step 4.  Repeat steps 2 and 3 for 3 more pillars.

Step 5.  Add a horizontal beam atop the pillars.

Step 6.  Add a second horizontal beam above the first.  Add a second horizon line above the beams.

Step 7.  Connect outer top edge of horizontal beam with vanishing point, erase dotted lines.

Step 8.  Connect bottom corners, erase dotted lines.

Step 9.  Create two boxes on bottom beam, connect outer corner to vanishing point, erase dotted lines.

Step 10.  Interior of bottom of upper platform.

Step 11.  Add rectangles in a row standing up.

Step 12.  Connect corners to create stairs leading up on one side and down on the other side.

Step 13.  Finish the work.  This one was finished to show flowing water and the pillars standing in water.
