    Optical Illusions have been around for quite sometime.  Most illusions came about
in the 1400's, and still exist today.  There are many artist that have studied perspective, such artist are Leonardo da Vinci and M.C. Escher.
    Leonardo da Vinci was an artist in the Renaissance who drew portraits such as the world famous Mona Lisa which da Vinci spent 4 years painting.  He also painted the widely known Last Supper, which is still leaving people amazed with the detail.
    M.C. Escher was a dutch graphic artist.  He was born June 1898 and he died 1972.  He went to the School of Architecture and Decorative Arts in Harlem.  His famous drawings included mystifying towns and other seemingly impossible items.
    The Bauhaus was an influential school of design.  It was founded in Weimar, Germany in 1919 by the architect Walter Gropius.  The teachers included many famous artist such as Josef Alber.  The Bauhaus offered sources in painting, and sculpturing but specialized in applied arts.
    In 1925, the Bauhaus moved to Dessau because of government hostility in Weimar.  It was closed by the Nazis in 1932, and tried to reopen in 1933.  It was closed permanently later that year.
