Titanic

 

 The Titanic is 882 ft. long and has watertight compartments. It launched from Harlend and Wolff shipyards in Belfast, Ireland. She sailed from Southampton,Cherbourg, Queenstown to her fate in the ice cold north Atlantic. Under the command of Captain E.J. Smith. They launched April 10th 1912. Then it happened! Date:April 14th,1912. Time:2:20 AM. The Titanic struck an ice berg and had 5 compartments overflowing into the next. She separated while sinking. She sank to 12,460 ft. under water where the water pressure is 6,000 lb. per square inch. She was under water and never seen from 1912 - 1987 when she was found by Dr. Robert D. Ballard. He used the research vessels Knorr and Atlantis II along with the research robots Argo, Alvin, & Jason Jr. (JJ) to find the Titanics 2 sections Bow and Stern which are 1,970 ft. away from each other.
