Penguins look like tiny gentlemen in tuxedos! They have black bodies and white tummies. Some penguins have a dull pink around their eyes. Their eyes are black and have slight points that are close and far from their beak. Their beaks are black, rough, and bumpy in texture. Their bodies are oval shaped and their heads are the slope of a circle. Their feet look like three triangles put together. That is what these tiny gentlemen look like.

Penguins reproduce by laying eggs. The female and male mate. They stay together for the rest of their twenty successful mating years. The female lays about two eggs at a time. The eggs are oval, white, and about three inches long. When the females lay the eggs, they lay the eggs in a nest. The nests are made out of pampas grass and leaves. The male and female take turns sitting on the eggs until the chicks hatch. That is how they reproduce and the chicks are hatched.

The penguins habitat is on land and in water. They are found in the southern hemisphere around and in the Atlantic Ocean. Their habitat is severely cold. Their habitat has ice and freezing cold water. They can survive in their habitat because they have a layer of white down feathers that keep their bodies warm. They also have a layer of fat. A penguins habitat is hard for any human being to live in!

Penguins eat fish. They eat a lot of different kinds of fish. They usually eat two to four pounds of fish each day. Sometimes they can't eat that much because in the wild penguins eat the fish as they catch them. If they can't catch enough fish than they can't eat that much. That is what their eating habits are like.
