Jacques Cousteau was an ocean explorer who designed submarines. He
designed the Calypso, Conshelf III, and a Diving Saucer. These were
the first steps towards diving to the deep. Ballard's first vessel,
the Ben Franklin, was designed by Cousteau. He was like the
early Ballard which you can visit Ballard's site from here or
shipwrecks. He was born June 10, 1910. He died June 25,1997.
