Coral Snakes

The name coral snake is given to several closely related poisonous snakes of the western hemisphere. They are found in the southern United States, Mexico, Central America, and tropical America. They have small blunt heads and brightly colored bodies.

Coral snakes are very poisonous. They don't strike as effectively as other venomous snakes, but they bite. They are dangerous if stepped on or handled.
