Get AIDS Or
HIV
You are probably wondering about
AIDS and how you can and can't get AIDS and HIV. AIDS has been a risk
since 1985. You can't get AIDS HIV by these modes:
- talking with a diagnosed
person with AIDS
- drinking the same water or
sharing and eating the same foods
- sitting next to the diagnosed
person.
- breathing through the
air
- sharing pens and
pencils
- sitting on the same toilet as
someone who has AIDS
- getting bit by an
insect
- playing on the same playground
equipment
- swimming in the same
pool
- donating blood (Since 1985
researchers have been testing blood.)
- getting a blood transfusion
(That was proven in 1985 by researchers.)
So if you ever meet anyone with
AIDS don't be afraid of the diagnosed person, because these things
can't hurt you.

There are not very many ways to
get AIDS, but you still have to be careful what you do. Here are some
things you should avoid:
- having sex without
protection
- having multiple
partners
- sharing needles

If you want to avoid
getting AIDS, try doing these things:
- Wear rubber gloves when
helping people with AIDS.
- If you do have sex, use
condoms
- Use sterilized needles anytime
you are using needles.
- Don't take illegal
drugs.
- Exercise for good health to
boost your Immune System.
- Eat well for
nutrietion.
