        How do igneous rocks form?
        Some examples of igneous rocks are basalt, granite, and peridotite. Basalt is a dark, fine grained rock. It forms from lava that cools quickly. Granite is made of quartz, feld spar, and mica. Peridotite is heavy, dark and coarse.
