Morph Your Brain With Metamorphic Rocks

How do metamorpfic rocks form?

Marble is a transformed limestone that occurs in different colors. Slate forms when mud, stone, or shale is crushed and baked during mountain building. Gniess has coarser grains than schist. Schist is like slate, but forms at a much higher temperature. Its minerals often seperate into different bands.
