How Do Igneous Rocks Form?


Igneous rocks form from cooled magma, which is molten rock from our earth's layers. The two main kinds of igneous rocks are, extrosive igneous rocks, such as, gabbro, formed from magma out of a volcano in the form of lava. Introsive igneous, such as, granite form when magma cools under the earth's surface.
