Great White Shark

The Great white shark is a streamlined swimmer and a ferocious predator with 3,000 teeth at any one time. This feared shark has a torpedo-shaped body, a pointed snout, a cresent-shaped tail, 5 gill slits, no fin spines, an anal fin, and 3 different fins called the dorsal fin ( on it's back) and 2 pectoral fins ( on it's sides). When the shark is near the top of the water, the dorsal fin and part of his tail are visible above the water. hate average size of the shark is 12-16 feet long.The largest Great White was 23 feet long. Also, like other sharks the female are larger than the male shark.
Their feeding habits are to eat fish, rays, and other sharks as young sharks. The adults like to eat larger pray like pinnippeds, small toothed whales, otters, and sea turtles.They also like to eat carrion (dead animals that they have found floating in the water. They do not like to chew their food. Thief teeth rip prey into small bite size pieces which they like to swallow whole.
Their habitat is usually near the shore although most of the time they live in not very hot and not very cold.
