The earth is the third planet from the sun and revolves around the sun. Earth has north and south poles. Earth is 93 million miles from the sun. It takes 365.26 days to orbit the sun. The earth has one moon and is the fifth largest planet. Earth is the shape of a sphere; its surface is 70% water. Earth has four layers, they are the crust, mantle, outer core, and the inner core. The crust is made of a thin rock, it is also what we walk on. The mantle is right below the crust. The mantle is made up of melted rock. Next is the outer core. The outer core is made up of melted nickel. And, finally, the inner core. The inner core is made up of solid nickel. Earth is amazing!
