our experience | music
We have a lot of experience with Taiko. In Taiko we
learned how to count 1-10 and we learned some
Japanese words. We learned some songs and we got
some experience from playing and remembering those
songs. We had so much experience from performing in
front of our school we got perform in the Martin
Luther King parade. We got courage from our
experience and that's how we did the
performances.
We could probably do a
lot of performances with all our experience. Every
day we would spend about 50 minutes every day.
That's how we got our experience. If you want to be
at Taiko you should practice a lot to get
experience. We would have never done any of this
without the help of Esther Vandecar. Thank you
Esther.

The two songs we
performed were called Bicentennial Bayashi and Silk
Daiko. Bicentennial Bayashi was written especially
for our class by Esther Vandecar, our artist in
residence. Silk Daiko was the second song we
learned and our favorite.
