Many people in the medieval ages told stories about beasts, like griffins and Peguses.

A Pegasus was a half horse and half eagle. It was said that the Pegasus was used for magical knights to ride. The pegasus enjoyed eating the sweet grasses of the earth.
A Griffin was a half lion and half eagle. Griffins were a magical beasts that were said to eat sheep. It's feathers were made of pure gold.

As you can see there were many magical beasts that were imagined in the Medieval Times!
