The St. Louis (Gateway) Arch is located in St. Louis, Missouri. The Arch is one of the newest monuments considered to be an international "wonder."

The Arch is 630 feet tall. The Arch section is an equilateral triangle. Its design is based on a mathematical equation. The total steel weight is 5,199 tons.

There is an observation room located at the top of the Arch which can hold between 100 and 140 people at one time. There are two transporters with 8 capsules per transporter that carry visitors to the observation room. Each capsule holds 5 people. The transporters travel 3.9 miles per hour. In addition, there are elevators that can hold up to 12 people each. These elevators also take the visitors to the observation room.

In case of emergencies, there are 1076 steps and 105 landings that can be utilized for rescues and evacuations.
