How Many Presidents
Have Been Impeached?

In the history of impeachment only two Presidents have been impeached, but neither were removed from office. Also a third President was facing impeachment, but he resigned from office.

The Presidents impeached were Andrew Johnson and William Jefferson Clinton. The President that resigned was Richard M. Nixon in 1974.
