Sheep Guarding
Llamas are used all over the world to guard herds of sheep. Usually, the guarding llama is a gelding because they might try to breed with sheep. It would be really dangerous for a 250 to 300 pound llama to be on top of a 125 sheep. Depending on the owner, the llama is either kept with the flock or outside the flock. Llamas have been known to kill coyotes with their front feet that threaten the flocks.
