Fencing
Barbed wire: Barbed wire should never be used for fencing llamas. Often, llamas scratch themselves on it and get hurt. Any wire that is not sharp is adequate.
Height: Llamas can jump with incredible height. Normally, a five foot fence will keep them in but if a llama is threatened or chased they can still jump a five foot fence.
Materials: A pipe corral possibly may not be safe depending on the area it is in. It may let stray dogs in and other unwanted animals. The safest fences are made out of posts and mesh not letting rodents in.
Electric Wire: Electric wire can be used and is recommended. Once llamas feel the shock they normally will never challenge it again even when it is off. These fences also keep out dogs and other animals.
