On April 18, 1906 San Francisco was devestated by an 8.3 earthquake. The 1906 earthquake was one of the most fearsome uphels of all times. A serviver recalled the first tremor came at 5:12 am. with a loud rumble and then a roar. The devistation was caused by a fault that was later.
