Asian Elephants

Asia is a very big continent which makes it a good habitat for different kinds of animal species. Some of the different animal species in Asia are rhinos, snakes, tigers, and probably the most popular species, the endangered Asian elephants.

The reason the Asian elephants are endangered is because poachers hunt them for their tusks. They are also hunted for various other body parts.

The elephant is the largest land animal in the world. There are two types of elephants which are the Asian and the African Elephant. Asian elephants roam in vast areas where the habitat has water and food.

Human-Like Behavior is very popular in the Elephant world. Some kinds of Human-like behavior that Asian Elephants do are that they communicate with each other, they stay together in herds, they care for their young, and the older sister usually cares more about young than the older brothers.

Some physical characteristics that elephants have are that they are very hard to move because they weigh so much. They again are killed for their tusks, and feet. Some of the elephants at preserves are identified by their ears because different elephants ears are shaped a unique way.

The Asian elephants are the biggest of the elephants. They have they biggest ears of the two elephants. Asian elephants use their ears to fan themselves. Asian elephants are probably the least popular of the two elephants.
