70's
music made rock more profitable than ever!

was influenced by 1950's blues. Most of the 60's and 70's rock influenced rock in the 80's.
In the early 1970's, the popular mainstream was dominated by the
Rolling Stones, the Eagles, and Chicago. Each group made lots of
albums and sold millions of copies. The heavy-metal style was
pioneered by Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple which
all featured aggressive guitar-latent songs. Some heavy-metal
groups wear heavy makeup and costumes. For example, the group
Kiss wears lots of makeup and weird costumes.

York, it drew up black popular music and easier rhythms by adding
steady bass-drum beats. Disco had a huge impact on rock music.

London. Punk-rock music was raw, abrasive, and fast. London punk

centralized in the 1970's. Music artists sold millions of albums

of time.

was a big influence to teens all over the world. Blues were still the main foundation of most
rock and roll but disco ruled the 70's. Disco was rarely preformed live and most rock stars
used tapes and records. In the 70's people thought that rock had lost it's originality. Some
young rock artists had a hard time to make much money. Punk rock made people want to
make music videos. Some star Puck rocker were Led Zeppelin and The Whoo. Michael
Jackson made a couple music videos. Michael Jackson's music video the " Thriller" became
one of the best selling record album of all time.

Led Zepplin combined the power and intensity of hard rock with the elegancy of brittish folk music. By combining these the band brought more fans to rock in the 70's. Unfortunately the group broke up in 1980. Led Zepplin was formed in 1968. The group included Jimmy Page on guitar, John Paul Jones as bassist, Robert Plant as vocals, and the drummer was John Bonham. The group name, Led Zepplin, was sugested by Who drummer, Kieth Moon. Keith Moon said it as a joke, he thought they would go down like a zepplin full of lead. Led Zepplin was considered heavy metal for their time. When the drummer died on September 1980 the group decided to do solo stuff. Jimmy Page made it big with other groups and solo albums and now with Puff Daddy, "Come With Me". Puff Daddy redid a Led Zeppelin song called "Kashmir" this song is on the Godzilla song track.
