-Our purpose is to create an educational web site for kids our age
-Our project is based on Famous Women of the Past. We will include information about eight significant women in the history of the world.
Article I
-The members of our group are as follows:
-The members of our group will have certain responsibilities. Lora will research information on Princess Diana and Harriet Tubman. Leigh will research Mother Teresa and Amelia Earhart. Martha will research Dolly Madison and Martha Washington. Finally, Laura will find information on Clara Barton and Queen
Elizabeth I.
-The officers are the following: President as Lora, Vice President as Leigh, Secretary as Laura, and Editor as Martha.
-The president's responsibilities are to make sure that everyone partakes their job. The vice president has responsibilities such as taking the president's place if the president is not present. The vice president will also make sure that each member abides by the rules written in the constitution. The secretary's job is to take notes on the meeting and to write the exact words that the members dictate to her. The editor punctuates and edits the work before it is transferred onto the web site.
-The members will vote on the position of each member. This process is described in Article III, bullet one.
-The members of the group will be removed if they are not doing a good job. It will be voted on, and it must be 2 out of 3 to decide. If they are voted out of office, they will switch with the office one step lower than they were. For example, if the President is voted out of office, then the Vice President will become President, while the original President will become Vice President.
Article III
-If there is a disagreement, then the members of the group will vote. The outcome will have to be two out of three or three out of four, depending on how many members are voting. If the members cannot agree on a certain problem that cannot be solved by voting, the members will go to their teacher, Mark Traphagen, for advice.
-The appeals process and members not cooperating are discussed in Article II, bullet three and four.
-If the members decide to change the constitution then they will vote. The vote will have to be majority. If there is a tie, then each side will present their case to their teacher, Mark Traphagen.
We, the undersigned, agree to follow this constitution as we work together.
