•     Cool Papa Bell was probably the fastest man in the Negro Leagues. He was clocked circling the bases in 12 seconds! Once he stole 175 bases under 200 games. His batting average against the Majors was .391 and .341 against the Negro Leagues.

•     Buck Leonard led the Cum Posey's Grays to nine Negro League championships and 3 World Series wins in the 1940s.
