What They Do

Artificial satellites do many things for the Earth.  They take pictres of other planets, send television rays to Earth, and many other things.  Artificial satellites are a new kind of technology that makes people's lives easier.  Satellites do many different things and there are hundreds of them in space.  All of them together would do a whole bunch of things.  Most satellites are different, so each one does adifferent thing.  Satellites are important in today's society because they hel the Earth so much.

Artificial satellites were fist used to study Earth's upper atmosphere andinner space.  Today's satellites study space at a far greater range.  A major part of satellites is to provide long distance communication links.  Cable telavision stations, telephone companies, magazines and newspapers use communication satellites to transmit data to different parts of the world.  Navigation satellites help make accurate maps of different parts of the world.  Countries use military satellites to spy and moniter other countries. At one time, both the United States attempted to develop satellites to destroy enemy spacecrafts.  There are also satellites with pilots inside them.  Artificial satellites do many things for Earth.

Artificial satellites help the Earth in many ways.  They do all sorts of things.  Without artificial satellites, the Earth would not have as many advantages.
