The Poison Dart Frog



The Poison Dart Frog is a wild and amazing amphibian. It is mostly found in the rain forests of South America.It's usually about one to two inches long. Living in the rainforest is perfect for the frog because it is wet and humid all the time.

There are over one hundred types of Poison Dart Frogs. They can come in a variety off colors and designs.

You can keep Poison Dart frogs as pet and you can also breed them. If you keep one as a pet you must keep them in a vivarium it is similar to a terrarium but is larger and more like the real habitat. When your frog comes into captivity it is not poisonous anymore. This is because of the change in habitat and diet. If you want to breed your animals you must have a honeymoon hut. This is a coconut shell with a door. If your frog does have babies the babies develop like all other frogs. They start as an egg and end up a normal adult frog just like their parents. The adult frogs eat small insects such as cricket or beetles.

These amazing amphibians are great pets and are really cool animals.
