These are some of the causes of lung cancer: 1. smoking- builds up tar and nicotine in your lungs. Any of smoking: cigarettes,cigars, and drugs do this to your body. 2. second-hand smoking- when you breathe the smoke, it contains carcinogens, which can give you lung cancer. 3. air pollution- from car exhausts, factory smokestacks, and natural radioactive gases can contribute to the development of lung cancer.
