                    Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January, 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. He married Coretta Scott in Marion, Alabama, on June 18, 1953.  In 1957, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. met Vice President Richard Nixon.  On August 28, 1963, he addressed the famous "I have a dream" speech.  On December 10, 1964, he accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his fighting for civil rights and equality.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, by James Earl Ray.  He was laid to rest on April 8, 1968, in his birthplace, Atlanta, Georgia.

    Martin may have died, but his dream is still alive and well all around the world.
