Bermuda Triangle
By Tori CantrellOn December 5, 1945, five torpedo bombers went on a flying mission. They left from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. About 4 hours later, the leader radioed asking for help. A Martin Mariner flying boat went to look for them. None of the planes returned. Over the next 30 years, 15 more planes disappeared. It is believed that some "whirlpool" of magnetism interferes with their navigation equipment which makes them lost. Not one of the crews have ever been found!

Lost Worlds
By April Knight There have been many lost worlds in our history. Atlantis is one of them. People say that it disappeared beneath the ocean somewhere around 9500 B.C. Lemuria, which was in the Pacific Ocean, supposedly "vanished" at around the same time. This next place, Machu Picchu, vanished and was found again in 1911. Camelot, where King Arthur lived, has still not been found. There probably a lot of other places that are unknown. Scientists have been trying to find some lost worlds for years.

Lost People
A person's memory is real short, and many, many great civilizations have vanished, or been forgotten. With every new discovery, archaeologists can find out a little more about places and past people. The lost Indus city of Mohenjo Daro was ruined or destroyed by some weird or unknown disaster about 1900 B.C. It was found again by accident in 1922. Neat statues were unearthed that tell us something about how the people must have lived back then. Things left behind by the Esruscan people from Italy, which disappeared more than 2,000 years ago, have given some clues about their every day lives. But, we still don't know the whole story.
