Harris Hawks are dark brown buteo hawks. Buteos
are large hawks with thick bodies. They also have broad wings and
rounded tails. The body ranges 18 to 24 inches. The Harris
hawk has a wingspan of 45 inches. Like most hawks the female is larger
than the male. You can find the Harris Hawk in the southwest part
of the United States. You can also find the Harris Hawk in the southern
part of Arizona. The female lays two to four eggs in a single year.
Half of the eggs are white and the other half are speckled brown.
