Types of Cerebral Palsy

There are four main types of cerebral palsy.

The first type, Ataxic, is when the child's movements jerk a lot because they have suffered balance loss.

Another, Athetoid, is a kind of cerebral palsy where the child's muscles move constantly and those movements interfere with voluntary actions.

The third type of cerebral palsy is Hypotonic cerebral palsy. Hypotonic is a kind of cerebral palsy when the child appears limp and sometimes can't move that well. Also the child's muscles don't connect as well as other students.

Last but not least, we have Spastic cerebral palsy. Spastic is a kind of cerebral palsy when the muscles in the child's body can't move except for certain body parts. The child may have more than one muscle disorder. The child may only be slightly disabled or paralyzed.
