Construction Set to Begin Soon

The temple will be sponsored by the Lydian King Croesus and be built by greek architect Chersiphron The temple will have a rectagular platform as a base. Its demensions are 260 ft by 430 ft. Steps will allow people to climb to this first and only floor. Standing on the base, there will be a total of 127 each 60 feet tall, Ionic columns. The Ionic columns will be cylindrical, the strongest in the business, and will support the roof. In the very center of the temple, there will be a house of the goddess where the goddess will accept offerings.

Priceless Interior


The inner side of the temple will hold hundreds of works of art by great sculptors. Golden and bronze pillars and statues will be displayed for all to see the wealth of this temple. Paintings will cover the walls of the temple. Also inside the temple, a meteorite from Jupiter will be on display.

Breaking News!

The Temple has been captured by King Croesus. The temple was destroyed during the fight. Croesus says he will rebuild the temple, but can we trust him.

Date set for Rebuilding

The King showed his gratitude today and has set a date to begin building on the new temple. Earlier today we interviewed the architect, Theodorus. Here is a bit of the interview..."The temple will be 300 feet long and 150 feet wide. One hundred+ columns will support the massive roof."

This new temple to be built be Theodorus will be Huge, yes HUGE. The base will be four times as large as the old temple. 100+ stone columns will support the roof.

Fire in the Hole!


Breaking News again. We have just recieved word that the temple has been burned down. Witnesses have given the police much information about the suspect suspected to be the pyro criminal. Police are hot on the trail of the criminal.

Caught!

The pyro suspected of burning down the temple has been brought to justice. His name: Herostratus.

Construction on new Temple: Today

The architect set to begin construction on the new temple is Scopas of Paros. The new temple will be in the same place as the last temple. It will be made purely of marble. One hundred twenty-seven columns will support the roof. Pictures will cover the walls and statues will be exhibited throughout the temple.

What is to Come
