hunter. It eats birds and reptiles. Sometimes it eats eggs of
the new born. The Gila monster also feeds on rodents.

They have to hold their prey for a few minutes to kill it. These
reptile are extremely slow moving. It is one of two poisonous
lizards in the world.
The Gila monster lives in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah,
and Mexico. It is not an endangered animal, but it is vulnerable
because it has suffered from a loss of habitat because of farming
and the grazing of animals. Also this lizard is captured and
shipped abroad to be sold as a pet.
