Shooting tips

1. Never point the camera at the sun.
2. Use a tripod if necessary.
3. Use a battery whenever possible.
4. Hold the camera steady.
5. Always record and play back some test tape.
6. Always check to rewind your tape.

Don't...

1. tape the person when you are in the sun light or they are in the sun light.
2. run with a camera.
3. tape with a tilted tripod.

Do...

1. always check the sound.
2. always have lead time and end time.
3. always make sure that you have a battery in the camera and keep it charged.
4. always know where your buttons are.
5. always keep the tripod straight.

The first thing a cameraman does is put a blank tape into the camera.  Then check the sound, microphone, and the transmitter. You always check your battery for the camera.  Fix the camera on the person you are supposed to tape.  Don't leave too much headroom.
