Anchors have a hard and important job. They help write their scripts.  The executive director helps them practice their script until it's perfect.  They sit down at a desk in front of a camera and give information. They also introduce segments and they hold the news together, like glue, so it's not all reports.  Ask any anchor and they'll tell you-- you have to be tolerant and have a good memory.
