America, The Land of Stars and Stripes

World War 2

The depression that slowed business during the 1930's brought hard times not only upon the United States but upon other countries as well. In some, people turned to leaders who promised to bring power to their country. Germany was one of those countries.Their country was especially hard hit by the depression. It was also hurt by the treaty that ended WWI. The treaty took land and resources away from Germany. Germany also had to paythe winning damage it had done during the war. The person Germany turned to as a leader was Adolf Hitler.

Hitler blamed everything on the Jewish people. He rounded up Jews and sent them to concentration camps, where they were forced to work as slaves until they grew too weak to work, when they were killed. This led to the start of one of the most brutal wars in history.
