Endangered Species
Scientists think that soon we will be able to keep endangered species from extinction. In China they are cloning the Giant Panda.  The Panda is almost extinct and the efforts to mate them in captivity have been almost always unsuccessful.

In the future we think that the world will be cloning endangered species. For example endangered species in the rain forests and even the Giant Red Wood tree could be cloned.

Another benefit of cloning animals is to feed overpopulated countries.  By cloning cows and pigs we could keep up with the increasing demand for food.  China has been successful in cloning eight cows.  Not enough to feed the world, but perhaps a good start.
