The following questions were asked to Mr. Rubinetti the Livingston High School varsity soccer coach and to Dave Mazur, a professional soccer player.

Question: Who do you think is the best US player currently?

Mr. Rubinetti: Claudio Reyna.

Dave Mazur: Ed Pope.

Question: Who do you think in present times is the best soccer player overall?

Mr. Rubinetti: Ronaldo.

Dave Mazur: ZiDane and Ronaldo

Question: Who do you think will win the next World Cup?

Mr. Rubinetti: Brazil.

Dave Mazur: Holland.

Question: Do you think France and Brazil will make it to the World Cup finals again?

Mr. Rubinetti: No, just Brazil.

Dave Mazur: No.

Question: If you had to pick an all time all-star team who would be your first two players?

Mr. Rubinetti: Pelé & Diego Maradona.

Dave Mazur: Culvert and Ronaldo

Question: In the long run do you think that the MLS will be able to survive in the US?

Mr. Rubinetti: Yes.

Dave Mazur: Yes.

Question: Do you think the US decision to go from veteran players to younger players will be more beneficial in the next World Cup?

Mr. Rubinetti: Yes.

Dave Mazur: Yes.

Question: Why is the World Cup every four years? Why couldn't it be every year or two?

Mr. Rubinetti: Traditions and qualifying matches. Unavailable sites, not enough time to organize the events.

Dave Mazur: It might interfere with the Olympics and their regular season.

Question: Why isn't there trading in soccer?

Mr. Rubinetti: Salaries.

Dave Mazur: Their is and they sell players as well.

Question: What do you think are the greatest differences in playing soccer compared to other sports?

Mr. Rubinetti: The difficulty level of having to play without the use of the hands. It requires a great deal of skill to be able to use your feet to control a ball and also to be able to control the ball when it comes out of the air using only your feet, thighs, chest, or head.

Dave Mazur: You use your feet and head to pass and shoot the ball.
