The following questions were asked to Mr. Roger Rubinetti, coach at Heritage Middle School & Livingston High School and by Mr. George Firrincili, assistant coach of Livingston High School varsity baseball team.

Question: Who would you rather have if you were starting your own team -Mark McGwire or Sammy Sosa?

Mr. Rubinetti: Mark McGwire.

Mr. Firrincili: Mark McGwire.

Question: Who do you think is the most complete baseball player today?

Mr. Rubinetti: Alex Rodriguez on the Seattle Mariners.

Mr. Firrincili: Derek Jeter on the New York Yankees.

Question: What team do you think will win the world series in 1999?

Mr. Rubinetti: New York Yankees.

Mr. Firrincili: New York Yankees.

Question: How are the small market teams such as Minnesota Twins, Montreal Expos, etc. going to be able to compete with big market teams such as the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, etc.?

Mr. Rubinetti: Get the same television revue as the big market clubs such as the Yankees, Atlanta and LA.

Mr. Firrincili: Maybe with new stadiums.

Question: Do you think the Yankees will repeat as world champions?

Mr. Rubinetti: Yes.

Mr. Firrincili: Absolutely!

Question: Do you think the salaries that baseball players make are reasonable?

Mr. Rubinetti: No. Overpaid. Especially pitchers who pitch once a week. Airfare, hotels and some meals are paid for by the team plus the players enormous salary.

Mr. Firrincili: No- They are paid too much.

Question: If you could meet one player who would it be?

Mr. Rubinetti: Cal Ripken Jr.

Mr. Firrincili: Cal Ripken Jr.

Question: If you could visit any major league baseball park, which would it be and why?

Mr. Rubinetti: Arizona Diamondbacks, the pool waterfalls plus it's anew park with a new team.

Mr. Firrincili: Camden Yards of the Baltimore Orioles.

Question: Do you think Pete Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame?

Mr. Rubinetti: Yes.

Mr. Firrincili: No!
