OUR PERSONAL VISIT

My family and I went up to Mt. St. Helens. We saw thousands of dead trees and plants. We also saw the new and living plants. Not very many plants had grown back but the ones that did were very beautiful. We went on a tour and he showed us the remains Harry Trumans' house. He is a person who lived on the volcano for sixty some years. He had sixteen cats and he did not believe that Mt. St. Helens would explode. His house was buried half way under ground because of the ash. When I came home from the deadly volcano I brought a pennant and a container of ash.

My family was visiting Oregon on the way there I looked to my left and saw the biggest and most exciting mountain I ever saw.  I asked my mom what the name of mountain she replied" Mt. St. Helens. " She told me the whole story about the eruption.  We decided to go up and get a better look.  When we got there I saw thousands of dead trees and a lake with ash trees and debris on the lake.  I was suprised by the devastation on the mountain. I couldn't imagine what this mountain could do.  This mountain destroyed peoples houses and lives.  When I saw the mountain and the devastation around it I was flabbergasted.  All around were dead trees, ash and debris it looked like this  was a battle field.  When I saw a picture of the mountain before the mountain erupted I was so suprised that this once beautiful lush mountain full of life is now a grave yard that is a good example of the volcanoes true force.
