SHELTER

The Apaches lived in a thing called a wickiup. It was in the shape of a circle or a oval structure. They were arched covered with brush and mat. They traditionally were used by various hunting and foraging Indians in North America that lived in the Great Basin area of the south west and in California.

The Apaches also lived in tipis. They would also cut a tree to make the shape of th tipi. The Apaches would put on buckskin or elk hide to provide the Apaches with warm and dry shelters. The Apaches used wickiups more then tipis though.
