Meller's Chameleon

The Meller's chameleon comes from Tanzania and is one of the true giants in the chameleon world. Some individuals can exceed 2 feet in length. They often have bright green and yellow colors with black spots throughout their bodies. They also have a small, single horn growing from the front fo their snout. Unlike other species, Meller's chameleon, both male and female look alike and are very hard to tell apart. Females can lay large clutches up to 40 to 50 eggs, once, or very rarely twice a year will she will lay her eggs. Meller's chameleon are very hard to take care of in captivity and are not recommended for most people, but for those who have extensive high-tech equipment. They get stressed out very easly and they may die from the stress.
