Range:

The Jackson's chameleon is the the most popular chameleon in the U.S.A. The Jackson chameleon comes from Tanzania and around Kenya. They are also found in the islands of Hawaii.

Mating:

The female Jackson chameleon gives live birth after mating with the male 7 to 9 monthes prior. Sometimes the female can hold sperm to use later or give birth without being mated. She will give birth to about 10 to 35 babies.

Light and Heating:

The Jackson chameleon should have a UVA-UVB flourescent light and a basking heat lamp. Their bodies can withstand temperature of 35*F to 100*F but can only have such hot and cold temperatures for only a short time. The basking lights should be about 90*F,60*F in the night, and about 85*F in the day.

Size:

The Jackson chameleon is about 16 inches in lenth as an adult.

Coloration:

The Jackson chameleon is quite colorful species. The chameleon is usually green and yellowish with a couple spots of reds and blues. When the chameleon gets stressed out, they get lots of black spots. When females are happy, they are a wonderful,bright green.
