Four-Horned Chameleons

Range:
This chameleon is found in Cameroon. There it is known as the Cameroon Bearded Chameleon, but even more simply "Quads".
Coloration:
They are commonly florescent green and through maturity developing brown bands upon there slender sides. A bluer color is common in captive breds of this species.
Temperature:
Novice chameleon owners should not try to care for one of these chameleons. They live in fairly cold temperatures compared to other species. Living in temperatures 55*F to about 75*F, also these chameleons need to be kept around 90% to 100% humidity.
Comparing Males & Females:
A large sail fin can be found in males, running down there entire back, also onto part of their tails. Males are also the only ones that will grow horns of this species. From one place on the snout 6 horns can grow on males. Females on the other hand don't even grow one horn.
Reproduction:
When laying eggs females will produce between 10 and 15 eggs and only three times a year will they lay them. This means that only about 30-45 eggs total through one whole year are layed. Another factor is that eggs hatch about 4 1/2 months after eggs are going through the developing process.
Caging Males Of This Species:
This species of chameleon is unique because two males will gladly share one captive habitat, as with other species the males will constantly fight. Managing this species is extremely easy.
