Comparing Males And Females:
The males of all these species still differ from the females a lot. They will grow horns that extend out over their heads about 1 inch. Females also have horns, but theirs are smaller in size. Their horns often only extend 1/8" out over there heads. Males also grow much larger total body lenght. The subspecies, fischeri multitubercultatus, is really much larger than the actaul main species. In this case, the males grow to be 15 inches maximum length. Females grow about 5 inches less.
Laying Eggs:
Fischer females will lay only 10-20 eggs in a clutch. This will depend on the subspecies. They will only lay eggs a few times a year. Other types of chameleons eggs take a long time to hatch, but these chameleons eggs hatch at 5 to 6 months, compared to some other chameleons, it can be a 3-4 months difference.
