European Medieval

The Medieval period consisted of the early middle or "dark" ages dating from 900-1310 A.D. The "late" middle ages dating from 1350-1500 A.D. Next came the "late" Middle Ages or Renissance, depending on which country you were in at the time, dating from 1350-1650. The colors used in the Medieval period were colors such as browns, blues and other brighter colors as the time progressed. The medieval period had very cold weather which was the reason why men and women wore quite a few layers of clothing. If you were poor, you could only afford 1 or 2 layers. Fur served as a lining for coats. Also, the basic dress was rectangular.
