Fort Ross:

A Piece Out of History

Did you know the Russians were in California? Well, they were. On this site, you will learn about their farthest southern outpost, Fort Ross. You will learn about the history of Fort Ross, what it looks like, about some of the people who lived there, and even about our personal experiences when our class stayed at the fort. At the end of this exciting journey, you can test yourself by testing your trivia knowledge. We encourage students to visit this website to learn about the people who lived there before us. We hope you will send us some of your experiences too so that we can add it to this site!

Because you probably can't visit Fort Ross right now, we want to make it seem as close to the real fort as possible. So to start your journey, take a look at this virtual reality world of Fort Ross. Click here to get to the virtual reality Fort Ross. If you don't have Quick Time you can download it (recommended to save on disk).
