Aleuts
The Aleuts were pretty unhappy being forced to go to Fort Ross. The only reason the Russians wanted them was because the Aleuts were the only ones who knew how to hunt sea otters. Aleuts probably did the most work and got the least pay. They would paddle off in their canoe-like Baidarkas, surround an otter, use Atlatals to fling spears with floats attached at the other end, and pick it up as one of their kills. The Russians on the other hand were terrible hunters. When they tried to use their guns while on the water, the flint would get wet, they had terrible aim, or if they hit an otter it would sink. That is why they took the Aleuts with them to Fort Ross.
