Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular Disease is a disease in the heart and blood vessels.  Cardio, means heart and vascular means vessels.  It is the deadliest disease of them all!  Since it is the deadliest, it doesn't mean that the most people suffer from cardiovascular disease, but that the most people die from it.  That is why we have devoted this section of our site to Cardiovascular Disease.

There are three main kinds of cardiovascular disease; Rheumatic Fever, Hypertension, and Arteriosclerosis.  There are also many other forms of cardiovascular disease.  You know that it kills the most people of all diseases, but do you know how many people that is?  Well, it is more than 900,000 people each year.   That is almost twice as much as Cancer, the second deadliest disease.  Now you know just how big a problem Cardiovascular Disease to our society today, so please, don't take your heart for granted and read what we have for you to read!
